Sat., April 29 Love Thy Neighbor Prayer Walk - hosted by Church Women United
The following churches will be visited: Loudon Avenue Christian Church, Jerusalem Baptist, West End United Methodist, McCray Court. West End Presbyterian Church will be a community prayer point. Learn how God is working through the outreach efforts of these congregations in the
Loudon Avenue and West End Communities. No fee to participate but pre-registration is required. Contact Barbara Pendergrass Richmond at 540-818-0520 to register or for more information.
Thur., May 4 National Day of Prayer held the first Thursday in May, bringing together people of all faiths to pray for our nation and other needs. This year's theme is derived from James 5:16b, Pray Fervently in Righteousness and Avail Much: "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
West End Presbyterian Church pastor, Tony Ward, will be out in the front of the church from
11:30am-1 pm. offering prayers to whomever wishes to have a prayer or you can simply stop by and take a purple or white flag and plant it in the grass and pray at your convenience.
